Sweet Sanity Designs uses this website to sell products and published content related to those products, assisting with their use, sharing inspirational ideas, and building a community.  Our website address is: https://www.sweetsanity.com. The owner of Sweet Sanity is Kerry Kobe.

SECTION 2 – WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION

Orders

When you purchase something from our online store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us, which includes your name, billing and shipping address, email address and phone.

When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Members of team have access to the information you provide us. For example, both Administrators and Shop Managers can access:

  • Order information like what was purchased, when it was purchased and where it should be sent, and
  • Customer information like your name, email address, and billing and shipping information.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill orders, process refunds and support you.

Comments

If you choose to comment on a blog post on our site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact Forms

If you choose to fill out our contact form, we use that for customer service purposes to reply to your request, but you do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.

Marketing

With your permission, we may also send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. Analytics

SECTION 3 – CONSENT

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.

If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

How do I withdraw my consent?

If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at any time, by contacting us at hello@sweetsanity.com.  Our e-marketing newsletters will also have an unsubscribe on all emails you receive.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

SECTION 5 – RETENTION

How long do you keep my data?

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

We generally store information about you for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally required to continue to keep it. For example, we will store order information for 10 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

 SECTION 6 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you; We use the following third party services:  our shipping partners; Fedex and USPS, our email marketing partners Opt-in Monster and Constant Contact, payment processing through Paypal, webhosting and cloud services with SiteGround and Google and bookkeeping processing with GoDaddy.

In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.

Payments

We accept payments through PayPal. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to PayPal including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information. Paypal has its own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions. Please see the PayPal Privacy Policy for more details.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

 SECTION 7 – SECURITY

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
