2 ) ASSESS WHAT YOU’VE GOT

A questionnaire followed by a design meeting will help us assess where you want your display, the vibe you are going for and what items you may want to include so far.

Prior to our consult you will supply:

  • A photo of the wall you’d like to fill.
  • Wall measurements.
  • Photos of the room,  noting any furniture, windows or doors that we might need to design around. (You will receive a 3D rendering of your gallery wall before completion so the more information you provide the more realistic it will look!)

We will also discuss what gaps might need to be filled to get the look you want.  See below on how we can take care of that for you!

3) SEND IN YOUR ITEMS

If your items are only digital, we’ll send you a link to submit them electronically.  If you have items to Mail-In we will send you a box to return to mail back with all the goodies that might make the cut!  You are welcome to send in more than is needed and we can do the sifting for you!

4) DESIGN STAGE

We will work to match your items with the perfect framing and matting, as well as create a custom layout that fits your wall best.   Our inventory of different frames and access to different artists and prints (if you need additional pieces) allows for a completely customized wall for your space.  Once we are finished you will receive a 2D and 3D rendering of the wall.

4) INSTALL DAY!

After approval we will ship all of your pieces to you with a hanging plan!   Just follow the plan and your wall should take an afternoon to put up. Viola!

WHERE DO WE START?

That’s the most common question from clients. And what holds them back.  Which is why after our first call there is relief. We START!

When Chicago blogger Lauren of @LakeshoreLady moved into a new condo with Adam her fiance she knew exactly where she wanted a Gallery Wall in their living room.  But between a postponed wedding due to Covid (waiting on those great photos!) and feeling overwhelmed with how pull together a mix of frames and artwork they felt stuck.

We were able to incorporate artwork carried home from their trips abroad, watercolors of their sweet pup Luna, and even sourced a vintage postcard of their favorite Chicago hotel.  Engagement photos hold space for the someday wedding photos and Adam the green thumb even added in the idea for some small wall planters!

It was such a joy seeing her wall come to life.  As I firmly believe making your surroundings into something you love is always worth it.

WHAT ITEMS SHOULD I COLLECT FOR MY WALL?

In my opinion the best walls are a mix of frame styles, sizes and the content.   It’s so much fun to get creative so be open to sizes and types of items. We are happy to sort through them with you.  Here are some of the best ideas, but remember the items that make you the happiest should appear on your wall:

  • Artwork
  • Personal Photos
  • Family Photos
  • Kids Art
  • Song Lyrics
  • Favorite Quotes
  • Letters
  • Postcards
  • Matchboxes from your favorite places.
  • Small mirrors

WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH PIECES FOR THE LOOK I WANT?

Don’t stress!  This is our favorite part!  You don’t have to worry about filling in the gaps.  We have curated pieces from various artists to complete your wall.  Relationships with shops like Romina Galder’s from Italy allow us to pick just the right print to elevate your wall mix.
